Idina Menzel’s character in Enchanted is named Nancy Tremaine. Tremaine is the last name of Cinderella’s step mother and step sisters in Disney’s Cinderella.
In the scene where Prince Edward is on top of the bus in Enchanted, the people on the street laughing and pointing and looking confused were not movie extras, but real New York City tourists.
The wedding dress that Giselle wears in Enchanted weighed 45 pounds. A stunt double had to teach Amy Adams how to move in the dress. Adams described wearing the dress as “grueling” since “the entire weight was on my hips, so occasionally it felt like I was in traction”.
In one scene in Enchanted, Prince Edward rides a bus through Times Square. In the background an advertisement for the musical Wicked can be seen. Idina Menzel, who plays Nancy in the movie, won the Tony Award for her the starring role in Wicked.
